Merits EZ Go Deluxe Electric Wheelchair

The Merits EZ-GO Deluxe is a power wheelchair designed by Merits Health that is portable and very user-friendly. The EZ-GO Deluxe is an upgraded version of the predecessor, the EZ-GO (P321) Standard. The Deluxe is capable of holding up to 300 lbs and has an extended travel range of up to 12 miles. This travel-friendly power wheelchair is capable of being broken down into 3 parts which are very easy to transport in the trunk of a vehicle or other storage spaces. All-in-all, the EZ GO Deluxe is a great option if you're looking for a power wheelchair that can be used indoors or for traveling.

Features of the P321 Deluxe Wheelchair

Aside from being able to disassemble easily, the EZ Go Deluxe power chair also has a few neat features such as the accessory port which works with many universal accessories. The port uses a standard 1" receiver hitch that works with oxygen tank holders, cane holders, and more. Another great feature is the folding seat that allows you to store the seat in very compact storage areas. Lastly, the armrests have height and width adjustment options which are something you usually don't see in a travel power chair.

 

One of the strongest competitors to the P321 Deluxe would be the Pride Go Chair which shares a similar profile as a travel power chair. The joystick can easily be installed on either end of the chair so whether you are left or right-handed should be of no concern. You'll also notice the modern design which is light years ahead of older chairs like the Hoveround. A tight turning radius of 23" means you can turn around with less than 2 feet. This is very advantageous if you intend to use your chair indoors. 

 

You'll also enjoy the unique color options you have when purchasing this electric traveling wheelchair. Quite often, you'll see common selections such as Red or Blue but the Merits EZ-Go Deluxe comes in various colors which allows you to express your style. Many times we are asked does insurance covers the P321 Deluxe. Mobility Scooters Direct is a cash-only operation because we've heard insurance companies can take 3-4 months to get units after all the requirements. This frustrates many customers so we have opted to not take insurance.

Merits Health USA Limited Warranty

Mobility Scooters Direct honors a Merits Health USA mobility scooter and power wheelchair warranty. Merits Health USA warrants to the original purchaser of this wheelchair product that it is free of defect in material and workmanship and that, when operated within the guidelines and restrictions of this manual, will remain so free of defect in material and workmanship for a period of One (1) year from the original date of purchase.

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

Merits Health USA is not liable for any failures of equipment resulting from accident, misuse, neglect, mishandling, alteration, commercial use or anyone unauthorized person attempted to repair. Work performed by an unauthorized person results in a termination of the warranty. For a complete overview of your warranty by Merits Health USA please read your user manual that came with your mobility product.

Excluded from this warranty is failure due to negligence, abuse, accident, operation outside of rated limits, commercial or institutional use, damage / wear to upholstery or tires and improper maintenance or storage. the batteries for this wheelchair product are not supplied by corporation, contact the battery manufacturer / supplier if warranty replacement is requested.

This wheelchair product must not be modified in any way without the express written consent of Merits Health USA. Any such unauthorized modification could cause unreliable and / or unsafe operation and will void this warranty. Where a failure occurs within the 1- year warranty period that is not excluded above, the failed components will be replaced with similar new or reconditioned components at sole option. Merits Health USA will not be responsible for labor and / or shipping charges. The foregoing warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied including, but not limited to, the implied warranty of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Merits Health USA will not be liable for any consequential or incidental damages whatsoever.

IF YOU WANT TO RETURN A PRODUCT BECAUSE YOU ORDERED THE WRONG PRODUCT, YOU WILL BE SUBJECT TO A 20% RESTOCKING FEE AND YOU WILL NEED TO PAY FOR RETURN SHIPPING. 


MOST PRODUCTS ARE SHIPPED ON A FREIGHT LINER (18-WHEELER). IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT 18-WHEELER TRUCKS CAN REACH YOUR SHIPPING DESTINATION. OTHERWISE, YOU MAY NEED TO MEET THE DRIVER SOMEWHERE THAT IS ACCESSIBLE BY AN 18-WHEELER TRUCK. FAILURE TO ACCEPT DELIVERY WILL RESULT IN RESTOCKING AND RETURN SHIPPING FEES.

NOTE: The batteries that you receive with your powered mobility device may vary in capacity rating (amp-hour). The battery specifications that you see on our website for the AH rating are not always what you will receive. Depending on inventory, you may receive batteries that are slightly higher or lower in capacity. Manufacturers use the group size specification when shipping batteries, not the AH rating. The slight variance in AH rating will not impact that overall travel range significantly.

Summary of Return Policy:

Mobility Direct offers a 30-day return policy which means that when you receive your product, you have 30 days to ensure it's working as intended. If the product is defective or not working, we will either work with the manufacturer to ensure the unit is fixed (if possible) or we can have the product returned at no cost to you in most cases. If a product arrives defective, we will act in a timely manner to get the product fixed by a local technician. If that is not possible, we will offer to have the product exchanged or returned for a complete refund.


If your product is working fine without any defects or damage, you may still return the unit within that 30-day return period but you will be required to: 


1. Request a return authorization (RMA) from our customer service department. 


2. Repackage the product in the original packaging.


3. Ship the product back to one of our receiving locations. 


Once we receive the product and inspect it for damage you will be refunded the amount of the product minus a restocking fee of up to 20%. If the product is damaged, the costs to replace parts and repair the unit will also be deducted from the total refund amount. 

How to Handle Your Product Delivery


Please follow the steps below BEFORE SIGNING for and ACCEPTING Delivery:


NO VISIBLE DAMAGE:

If there are NO visible holes, rips, dents, or tears to any of the packaging, then please sign and accept your delivery without making exceptions.


VISIBLE DAMAGE:

If there are visible holes, rips, dents, or tears to any of the packaging, please note the extent of the damage in the exceptions area of the delivery slip, and accept your delivery. Contact our customer service department at (877) 460-1646 if the product is found to be damaged after unpacking. Please note the delivery driver is NOT obligated to wait for you to unpack the scooter to inspect before you accept the delivery.


EXTREME DAMAGE:

If there IS an extreme amount of obvious damage to the packaging of your scooter, please refuse the delivery as “Damaged in Transit”, then both you and the Delivery Driver must sign the BOL. Immediately notify our customer service department at (877) 460-1646 if a shipment is refused due to extreme damage.


CONCEALED DAMAGE:

If there was NO visible damage to the packaging, but the product is damaged, immediately call our customer service department at(877) 460-1646 to report the damage. Concealed damage claims are limited to 72 hours after delivery in order for us to file a damage claim and provide you with the fastest solution.

It is important you know that our manufacturing partners are putting each product through a 35-point inspection two separate times before shipping. Although the package may not appear damaged, this does not mean it was not mishandled during transit.
