Baja Mobility Wrangler 2 Scooter
This is the first scooter that is being offered as part of the "Baja" series that Pride Mobility has announced. The Baja series is going to include the best recreational-grade scooters on the market and they are making a great first impression with this all-new 4 Wheel Power Scooter BA400 Scooter. What's The Difference Between Version 2 & Version 1?
If you're a fan of the original Pride Wrangler scooter, then you're going to love this second version that has some awesome upgrades. Pride Mobility upgraded the suspension, and the COG (center of gravity) and added a dampening system for the steering console to make the ride even smoother! The dampening system is integrated into the tie-rods with a spring and piston system which is unmatched by any other model in its class. They also upgraded the seat post to an HDC post which is no longer using the old, clover post system. This provides more structural support and less wobble on the seat! The new color option is another great upgrade, which is the Royal Blue. Aside from that, the specs are pretty much the same.
What Makes The BA-400 Model Special?
The second-generation Wrangler mobility scooter by Pride (model BA400) is unmatched when it comes to power. It has 2, 2500 peak-watt motors which give it a total of 5,000 watts! No other mobility scooter comes even close to that type of power (at least not any made by the brands we trust). If you want something that can work around the property, go on aggressive inclines, and handle various types of rugged terrain, then look no further.
The BA 400 is one of the only models that we would trust for the most extreme off-road conditions. It has huge tires with aggressive treading, measuring out to 14.5" by 6.5 ". Another unique feature is that the seat is a High Back, Black Vinyl, Memory Seat, making it one of the most comfortable seats on the market for any mobility scooter. It also has a rear backup sensor that prevents the user from bumping into things while reversing. This scooter is all around the most sophisticated off-road electric vehicle on the market.
The Pride Mobility Brand
Pride Mobility is the most well-known brand name in the industry. They're known for making high-quality products designed to provide many, many years of hassle-free use. They're so confident in the build quality of their products that they include a free 1-year in-home service agreement with every purchase! That means that for the first year if you have an approved warranty claim, they will dispatch a technician to your home free of charge to solve the problem. Pride Mobility is also known for providing an industry-leading parts warranty which you can learn more about by clicking on the warranty tab under the image gallery at the top of this page. Pride Mobility was established in 1986 and has been making top-of-the-line mobility products ever since. They have a huge presence globally, with thousands of employees in the United States. Pride is the only manufacturing company to have a full-blown research and development team and testing facility located in Old Forge, PA. We have a video on our YouTube channel of their state-of-the-art facility for those who would like to see what it's like. Simply put, Pride is the best brand in the industry, and we are proud to be one of their most recommended dealers.
Comfort Features
The Wrangler 2 has many comfort features that include a High Back Memory Seat that can rotate 360 degrees, and it slides forward too. The two levers on the bottom of the seat allow the user to easily rotate or adjust the seat position forward or backward. The seat is also equipped with a height-adjustable headrest and a height-adjustable. You can also recline the seat slightly. The seat comes with 2 armrests that can easily flip up to make it easier to get in and out of the vehicle. The armrests are also height, and width adjustable. That's not all, the seat is also height adjustable too! The seat comes off very easily, you just need the strength to lift it up, so that it disconnects from the seat post. When the seat is disconnected you can remove the nut and bolt that hold the seat post to the frame to adjust the height of the seat. The steering assembly (known as the tiller assembly) is also tilt-adjustable which allows the user to bring the dash closer or further away. If you want to see all of these comfort adjustment features, we strongly recommend watching our in-depth, demonstration videos.
How to Transport it in a Vehicle
Many customers ask us about transporting this huge machine. Some customers with vans can lift the front of the scooter into the cargo storage area then lift the rear by the tow bar and roll it into the van. Other customers use lawn equipment trailers but if that is not possible, you can use the Tri-Lift HD Mobility Lift as long as you have a heavy-duty vehicle. The Tri-Lift HD Mobility Lift is a product that is designed to be installed into the hitch receiver of a truck or SUV. It has an actuator-style motor that can lift the scooter securely so that you can transport your scooter when going on road trips or to any destination that is too far to ride to with the scooter itself. If you want to learn more about the Tri-Lift HD Mobility Lift, please give our non-commissioned sales experts a call. Be prepared to provide your vehicle's year, make, and model so that the sales expert can confirm the compatibility of your vehicle with this model. Compatibility is dependent on your vehicle tongue weight and towing capacity.
We plan to release several videos of the Pride Mobility Wrangler being used in various terrain types and scenarios in the future. Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel so you can get notified when we release new videos.
If you're asking yourself "where do Pride Mobility Scooters ship from", we have a FAQ page that explains where the manufacturing location(s) for this manufacturer is located.
Unboxing & Set Up Process
If you order this scooter, you will need a big open space to unbox it and 2 people. After all, this is one of the biggest scooters we carry. You will also need a few tools like a box cutter and a set of wrenches to install the batteries. Make sure you charge your batteries for several hours before you use them for the first time. The box is very large and will arrive on a wooden pallet. You will need to open the box and then disengage the braking system to roll the scooter out of the box. The side walls of the box can lift straight up and over the scooter so you will have the clearance to roll the unit off the wooden pallet. There is a tutorial video that we made on our YouTube channel to follow along with to see the unboxing process. We highly recommend watching it.
