Newest Travel Mobility Scooters to Hit the Market

There have been several new travel mobility scooters to hit the market in 2020. With the recent Coronavirus, many of our customers are ready to get outside of their house while maintaining 6 feet away from other people. Being able to get outside of your house will allow you to break up the routine and enjoy some fresh air which is what many people are needing right now after being quarantined for almost 6 months now.

Mobility scooter manufacturers like Pride Mobility & Golden Technologies have both released a new product that had the goal of redefining what a new travel mobility scooter is all about. In this blog post, we’ll take a look at a couple of these products. Each has its own pros and cons which we will review in detail.

Pride Mobility iRide

The iRide mobility scooter by Pride Mobility is sure to make a splash in the industry. With the battery removed, you can enjoy a travel scooter that weighs in at just 42lbs. So even if you are not strong enough to lift it, it is one of the lightest mobility scooters on the market so if you have a friend or loved one to help you it would be easy to lift it.

It also has an extremely modern design. Very important to note is that there is no auto-brake feature. The scooter freerolls and has brakes similar to a bicycle. There are many nice color options that simply are not available on other models such as the mango orange which almost has a copper type look.

The price of the iRide starts at just $1,199.00 and includes one-year parts and labor as well.

Golden Technologies Buzzaround Carry On

 

The Buzzaround Carry On mobility scooter by Golden Technologies can compete with the iRide in terms of weight. Just recently unveiled and started shipping, this brand new model is extremely unique because it essentially folds flat. It is a bit heavier than the Pride iRide, weighing in at 47.5lbs without the battery. So while a bit heavier by 5.5lbs, it does offer you an additional wheel which helps with stability.

The design is also modern. By looking at the Carry On, you would never know that it folds flat and would be such a fantastic traveling mobility scooter.

The price of the Golden Technologies Buzzaround Carry On starts at just $1,999.00 and includes a one-year parts warranty only.

As you can see, there are some similarities as well as differences when comparing the Pride Mobility iRide vs Buzzaround Carry On.
