When you are looking for a mobility scooter, it is important to know how much a good, high-quality scooter generally costs. Due to the rapid growth of the mobility industry and online selling, having a clear-cut idea of price ranges can be difficult. The cost of a mobility scooter has many different factors; including brand, type, size, and features/upgrades. In this post, we are going to break down the three main categories and their general price range.

How Much Does a Folding Mobility Scooter Cost?

Our first category is folding scooters, which are either manually or automatically folding. They are commonly used for air travel because they are a more minimal option, with smaller seats, batteries, and dimensions. The usual price range for a good folding scooter is between $1,500 – $3,000. We will use our two most popular folding scooters as examples. The Buzzaround Carry-On is manually folding, and the Solax Transformer is an automatically folding mobility scooter. To see our whole collection please click this Folding Mobility Scooter link.

How Much Does a Travel Mobility Scooter Cost?

The second and most broadly used category of mobility scooters is travel scooters. The majority of these scooters disassemble for easier transportation. The price of a good travel scooter varies depending on the brand and size of each scooter, but a reasonable range is from $900 – $3,000. The most popular disassembling travel scooters are from the Go-Go series by Pride Mobility. The Go-Go scooters are very reliable and are frequently seen on cruises and in theme parks for rent. Another good example of popular travel scooters is the EW-M34 by E-Wheels. They are a little less expensive, but Pride Mobility’s high-quality manufacturing and warranties on the Go-Gos are self-explanatory. How Much Does a Heavy-Duty Mobility Scooter Cost?

Our third and last category is heavy-duty mobility scooters. Compared to the two former categories, heavy-duty models are much larger and better suited for outdoor/offroad usage. Due to the size and bigger motors, tires, and parts needed for these models, they are considerably more expensive. The price range for a good quality heavy-duty mobility scooter is around $2,000 – $7,500, depending on the upgrades and accessories you choose. To see our whole selection please click our Heavy Duty Mobility Scooter Link.

The E-Wheels EW-36 and EW-72 are more affordable and offer many color choices and cool technological perks like an anti-theft system. The Afikim Afiscooters are reliable and durable outdoor heavy-duty scooters. Test after test, the C and S model Afiscooters continue to exceed our expectations. They are a bit of an investment, especially with certain upgrades, but they are definitely worth it. The Baja Wrangler 2 by Pride Mobility is the ultimate off-roading scooter. It is a brand new release and is specifically designed for rough terrain. You can see the specifications and pricing for all of these models below:

Avoiding Scammers

Keep in mind that this is helpful information to be aware of, especially regarding online sellers. Unfortunately, there are many advertising campaigns that specifically target mobility product consumers. If you see an online listing or advertisement for mobility scooters that are much lower than the general prices we provide here, it is most likely fraudulent.
