As far as I’m aware and on most of the scooters I’ve worked on a scooter transaxles is OD (open differential) so if one wheel looses traction the other side will turn and this is what you might feeling.

What you are using the scooter for will damage the transaxle is not recommended by the manufacture and will invalidate your warranty. Average replacement transaxle (parts only) can cost from $300 to over $1000 to replace.
If you are getting slip in both wheels the damage may already be done.

We don’t offer anything that lays back all the way. You could try searching on https://www.buysellwheelchairs.com for a used product, however.

    Hi Sweenah,

When did you purchase your product? Tampering with it can cause the warranty to be voided. I wouldn’t recommend tampering with it and risking damages or injury.

We’re not able to provide instructions on how to take apart the scooter in the manner you’re describing. You might need to contact a technician to help you fix the issue, I’m sure it would be a quick fix.

Hope this was helpful, have a great day!

    Hi Sweenah,

Sorry you’re experiencing trouble with you Pride Mobility Scooter. The horn button may be stuck OR the unit got wet and it should stop beeping soon when it completely dried up.

    Hello,

Would you mind sending us a picture or short video of the issue you are having? If the motors are connected to the controller box, you will get this issue. Often with older chairs rush can build up on those connectors and cause a break in continuity which can give this an error. Your user manual should tell you which motor is getting the disconnect.

If the motors are connected properly you should not be getting an error code unless a motor is bad.

The way the controller knows if the motors are engaged is by the lever on each motor. There is a circuit in each one. These are called brake switches.

If your wires are plugged in, and your motors are engaged (in the locked position) your chair should not be throwing fault codes. If the problem persists take the controller to a local dealer for service.

    Kindly,

    Andrew

You would be 100 percent correct with all you have stated in this. Often times there can be substances that leak down the joystick wire from drinks or human fluids or other outside elements.

You will want to slide the gray part of the harness then pull to disconnect it. If it is having issues coming off, try a little rubbing alcohol or let sit with some WD-40 to break away any substances.

If the connector was forced together by putting it upside down, then you may have to figure out other means of gripping the connector to separate them.

Once you have the connector loose you can take the seat right off.

    Hello,

We do not work with any other products other than factory specified equipment provided by the manufacturer. We would not be able to give you a clear and effective answer for this as we do not have our hands on this product. One thing I will tell you is that the capacity of a scooter battery has a much larger capacity that of a cell phone or other smaller devices. Mobility scooter charging systems also run MOSTLY off 24v charging systems at 1.5 amp, 3 amp, 5 amp or 7 amp outputs. Each output of amperage will be determined by the battery capacity. The larger the battery, the higher the amperage.

    Hello,

There is no way possible to make a lift capable of carrying more weight than specified. If the weight of the carrier can not accept the weight of your quantum power wheelchair, please do not carry it on this unit. It will be dangerous for you, your vehicle and the people who drive behind you.

I would suggest to buy yourself a smaller power wheelchair IF possible.

    Kindly,

A transaxle issue might be going on, your gears might be stripped. You would not be able to fix this without replacing the motors. Sorry if this is not the news you were expecting.

Usually, a locked joystick can be solved pretty easily. I would need to know the make and model of the wheelchair to provide you with instructions. You might also want to check out this video:

I’m sorry Larry but we don’t carry parts for the Rascal turn about as that is a discontinued model. Finding parts for it might be difficult. We offer new scooters and wheelchairs starting at $599 and have financing available through paypal.

The system is used on a 24-volt system. The amp hours doesn’t matter as long as you have enough amp hours to make the unit run for a longer period of time. I am not sure how you would make the battery, but good luck with that!

    Hi Jay,

Yes some of the parts are interchangeable. You really just have to make sure the models are the same models. Every few years the model may be changed a bit, and that slight change is enough to make your parts not compatible with the next generation. You could use the same theory when working on automobiles.

We do not recommend you put any other tires on the mobility scooters that the manufacturer doesn’t recommend. This would not be advised.
