What to do if your mobility scooter won’t turn on

We get tons of calls from customers that say “my mobility scooter won’t turn on what do I do to fix it?”. The answer is usually something simple. If you’re not getting any power, it’s usually a good sign that the batteries are either completely dead, or there is a loose connection somewhere. All you need to do is test the batteries first, we have a video that shows you how to do that below.

If the batteries are good, then you will want to start taking the scooter apart and checking for all the connections to see if something came loose. If you watch the video below, you can see the general process for taking apart some of our top-selling scooters.

As part of your troubleshooting process, you should also refer to the user manual’s beep code guide. Most scooters will beep a specific amount of times and the number of beeps is a code for technicians. Refer to the technician’s beep code guide to learn what is going on with your scooter. We’ll include a beep code guide video below, but keep in mind not all beep codes are the same for each model.

If you still can’t find the solution, it’s time to call a technician.
