After assembly, my Baja Wrangler won’t turn on. What should I do?

If you have a Baja Wrangler or Baja Wrangler 2 and you need help with the unit not turning on after you assembled it, this article will guide you.

Typically, you will need to ensure a lot of things. You need to make sure that the batteries are charged and that they are out of their “dormant” stage (click this link for more information about this) or make sure that everything is assembled correctly. Aside from that, here are also two things you need to check:

• After installing batteries or resetting the main circuit breaker, turn the ignition key off and on twice to initiate startup
• Ensure nothing is plugged into the USB port prior to starting the unit.

If those fail, here’s what you can try:

When the voltage in the batteries becomes low or your vehicle is heavily strained because of excessive loads, the main circuit breaker may trip to protect the motor and electronics from damage. When the breaker trips, the entire electrical system shuts down. See image below

• The reset button pops out when the breaker trips.
• Allow a minute or so for the electronics to rest.”
• Push in the reset button to reset the breaker.
• If the breaker trips frequently, you may need to charge batteries more often or have your authorized dealer perform a load test on the batteries. You can also do this yourself if you follow the video below:

If the main circuit breaker trips repeatedly, see your authoriz dealer for service.
