Which batteries are allowed to travel on airplanes?

Almost all of our batteries are lead-acid dry cells and non-spillable, with the exception of lithium batteries, meaning that they are acceptable for airplane travel.

Always check with the airline before booking the reservation.

According to the FAA, as long as your lithium battery doesn’t exceed 300 watt-hours, you should be able to travel with it as long as it’s for a mobility device.

Some airlines strictly prohibit the transportation of lithium batteries due to many mishaps in the past related to electronic cigarettes that use lithium batteries. CNN Money reported that Lithium-Ion batteries are banned as cargo on passenger planes in Feb of 2016 which likely happened due to the new Samsung Galaxy phones that were spontaneously combusting into flames.
