I have a Pride Apex Rapid that has been stored for over a year. I have installed new batteries, and cleaned it up (possible damp).
When I turn the power on with the key it makes a constant beep sound followed by 7 beeps.
If I turn it off and back on (many times) it just turns on and I am able to move, until I turn the Snail/Hare dial to max and it then beeps.
I am not sure if I have damp in some connectors or if I have a fault with POT. Is there a way of testing the POT? I can’t afford a an engineer sadly at the moment, so I am trying to resolve this myself. You would need a voltage meter, and the ability to take the dash apart. Then you can test the voltage change when you give the throttle action. It is not easy, and you would definitely need the experience to do this.
