I could overcome the 8 code by moving the freewheel lever forward then moving the fw lever back to the (drive) position. This action would allow the scooter to move but then there was an intermittent drag like I was pressing the brake lever then releasing the brake lever. When this method quit working I could move the battery to controller cable and this would defeat the 8 code. Since there was a considerable amount of corrosion neat one of the circuit breakers/inline fuses?, I removed the cable and thoroughly cleaned the cable. Anyone have any ideas?
It’s time to get a new scooter most likely, this model has been discontinued for a long time. Have you taken it to a tech for an evaluation?
