I have a Pride gogo elite scooter that is about 19 years old I think. I had been using it with few problems but just got new batteries and new charger from local medical supply center about a month ago. Now scooter will not charge at all. I was using it fine until 3 days ago when the power started dropping and I plugged it in to let it charge for 24 hours checking it intermittently but now it’s just dead and won’t respond to the charger.
I will say that I did not buy the charger and batteries at the same time. For almost a month I was using a charger that I got from Batteries Plus that was incorrect charger. I don’t know if using the wrong charger destroyed the batteries or if there is some other mechanism on the scooter that might have been tripped or something. Please help.Sounds like you’re killing your batteries by not using a charger that is provided by the manufacturer. If you need a charger replacement, I would get the exact one that came with the scooter. Otherwise, you could damage your batteries which are expensive. I would recommend finding the GoGo scooter model on our site, then looking at the specs to see how many amps the charger is that comes with it.

After you’ve identified how many amps your charger is supposed to be, you should know if you’re killing your batteries or not. I imagine 3 amps is the highest you’ll be able to go since all GOGO’s are travel units with relatively small batteries.
