I have an little used select 6 that got caught in a flash flood. The motors and batteries went under water. I opened the controller, dry. Checked batteries ok. Opened one motor / brake assy, had some moisture but dry and checked electerally, other was checked ok. Armrest controller did not get wet, opened it to check. Can find no cable problems. OK, after checking things out, fired it up and ran 10 minutes or so. After sitting it again ran, shortly. Now all I get is code 7 plus speed blink. VR2 manual says comm problem but I have run out of things to check. I am an old man on SS and on my own with wheelchair. No financial help. How do I check it?
Once your scooter gets as much water damage as you described, there is less than a 1% chance that it will continue to work.
I’m sorry Bill, but your mobile device is NOT water resistant whatsoever. All of the parts are likely to rust out and not work anymore. I encourage you to visit https://www.buysellwheelchairs.com if you want to get a used mobility device at a very affordable price.
