My father claims of being ‘cramped’ when he rides his Pride Go Go, and I’d like to find a way to adjust the seat so it is further away from the tiller. When I removed the upholstery I found there were several mounting holes for the bottom plate of the seat, but when I moved the plate forward to the next set of holes (effectively moving the seat further back on the mounting plate and further away from the tiller), the screws at the front of the seat would no longer catch the threads on the nut in the underside of the seat.
Has anyone had success doing this before?
I don’t advise doing that. You can adjust the tiller on most Go Go models, which one does your father have? There are many Go Go scooters for sale, I believe around 12 models. All of them can be found here:
First, I would identify which one he has. Then figuring out what your options are from there. Most of them have an adjustable tiller that can be tilted forward to create more space for the user.
