Please note that most vehicle lifts are shipped via an 18-wheeler truck, in a large box attached to a wooden pallet. It is your responsibility to accept delivery, not accepting delivery could result in return shipping and restocking fees.

The 2021 AL-6000 scooter lift by Harmar is the newest interior platform lift that works with vans or SUVs. Rain or snow will not be a concern when you use this lift because it keeps your mobility device inside your vehicle. Loading your mobility device into the vehicle is done with an automatic platform that measures 28.5" deep by 38" wide (with an optional cradle that extends the width by 7").

The lift requires professional installation that Harmar can provide nationally. We also offer local installations in South Florida. This vehicle lift can support up to 400 lbs if you upgrade to the HD version. The standard version can support up to 350 lbs. Be sure to check with a sales expert to see if this lift system is compatible with your vehicle and mobility device. 

How The AL-6000 Scooter Lift Works

The AL6000 uses a railing system and is mounted to the cargo space of your SUV. Your Van or SUV cannot have a false floor that is used to cover your spare tire. You will need a solid floor in the cargo space for the AL6000 to be securely mounted. The railing system slides forward past the bumper of the SUV so that the platform can lower to the ground. Once the platform is lowered, the mobility device can be loaded onto the platform. Once the mobility device is secured to the platform with the provided buckles (or upgraded Q-Straint self-tensioning straps), the AL-6000 can lift the scooter or power chair and then retract the lift back into the cargo space of your SUV. The optional wireless key fob makes this entire process very easy. Once the mobility device is tucked back into the cargo space, you can close your cargo lid and transport the scooter without worrying about rain or snow.

Compatibility & Custom Options

In order to verify the compatibility of this lift, your vehicle, and the mobility device you have, you must speak with our sales experts. Please note, that you will need to provide the year, make, and model of your vehicle in order to check compatibility. You will also need to know the make and model of the mobility device. This is to ensure that the lift can support your mobility device safely without damaging your vehicle and/or mobility device. 

There are also several optional accessories and upgrades for the AL-6000 scooter lift such as the optional battery pack which allows the lift to work on an independent battery (instead of your vehicle's battery). You can also upgrade this lift to the HD version which supports 400 lbs. Another option is to upgrade your platform to have self-tensioning Q-straints instead of the standard manual support buckles and straps. You can also buy a mounting bracket that works with cargo spaces that have a seat in the back that folds down. Lastly, you can upgrade to include the 7" extension cradle for scooters that are longer than the standard platform's dimensions.

NOTE: The batteries that you receive with your powered mobility device may vary in capacity rating (amp-hour). The battery specifications that you see on our website for the AH rating are not always what you will receive. Depending on inventory, you may receive batteries that are slightly higher or lower in capacity. Manufacturers use the group size specification when shipping batteries, not the AH rating. The slight variance in AH rating will not impact that overall travel range significantly.

Summary of Return Policy:

Mobility Direct offers a 30-day return policy which means that when you receive your product, you have 30 days to ensure it's working as intended. If the product is defective or not working, we will either work with the manufacturer to ensure the unit is fixed (if possible) or we can have the product returned at no cost to you in most cases. If a product arrives defective, we will act in a timely manner to get the product fixed by a local technician. If that is not possible, we will offer to have the product exchanged or returned for a complete refund.


If your product is working fine without any defects or damage, you may still return the unit within that 30-day return period but you will be required to: 


1. Request a return authorization (RMA) from our customer service department. 


2. Repackage the product in the original packaging.


3. Ship the product back to one of our receiving locations. 


Once we receive the product and inspect it for damage you will be refunded the amount of the product minus a restocking fee of up to 20%. If the product is damaged, the costs to replace parts and repair the unit will also be deducted from the total refund amount. 

How to Handle Your Product Delivery


Please follow the steps below BEFORE SIGNING for and ACCEPTING Delivery:


NO VISIBLE DAMAGE:

If there are NO visible holes, rips, dents, or tears to any of the packaging, then please sign and accept your delivery without making exceptions.


VISIBLE DAMAGE:

If there are visible holes, rips, dents, or tears to any of the packaging, please note the extent of the damage in the exceptions area of the delivery slip, and accept your delivery. Contact our customer service department at (877) 460-1646 if the product is found to be damaged after unpacking. Please note the delivery driver is NOT obligated to wait for you to unpack the scooter to inspect before you accept the delivery.


EXTREME DAMAGE:

If there IS an extreme amount of obvious damage to the packaging of your scooter, please refuse the delivery as “Damaged in Transit”, then both you and the Delivery Driver must sign the BOL. Immediately notify our customer service department at (877) 460-1646 if a shipment is refused due to extreme damage.


CONCEALED DAMAGE:

If there was NO visible damage to the packaging, but the product is damaged, immediately call our customer service department at(877) 460-1646 to report the damage. Concealed damage claims are limited to 72 hours after delivery in order for us to file a damage claim and provide you with the fastest solution.

It is important you know that our manufacturing partners are putting each product through a 35-point inspection two separate times before shipping. Although the package may not appear damaged, this does not mean it was not mishandled during transit.

 

HARMAR Mobility Lift Limited Warranty


Mobility Direct and Harmar Mobility warrant its mobility lift products against defects in material, mechanical and electrical parts, excluding labor cost, batteries, paint, and covers, for a period of three (3) years from the purchase date, provided that the products have been installed, maintained and operated correctly. This warranty does not cover defects in the motor vehicles on which Harmar products are installed or defects in Harmar products caused by defects in any part of the motor vehicle upon which the product is installed. This warranty does not cover adjustments or maintenance. Harmar or Mobility Direct will not be charged for labor, consequential damage, or repair expenses. Harmar and or Mobility Direct will not, under any circumstances, be liable for the loss of the use of its products or loss of time. This warranty becomes null and void if the product has been lost, damaged by accident, over-stressed, misused, and or neglected, or if the product has been customized or modified in any way. Defective parts must be returned, prepaid, to Harmar at the address listed above, for inspection prior to credit, repair, or replacement, at Harmar’s discretion. Harmar’s sole obligation and the exclusive remedy under this warranty is limited to such credit, repair, or replacement.
