Sandhelper is an electric-powered beach wheelchair that operates flawlessly. The team at Mobility Scooters Direct met with Sandhelper to review the unit. It was impeccable. There was not one complaint we had. Whenever you think of driving anything on the sand, the first thing you will think of is losing traction. Even looking at the Sandhelper you can't help but wonder, "Will it get stuck?" The answer is no. We tried. Does your family go to the beach and you choose to hang back because there isn't a mobility solution? Well, now there is.
The Sand Helper would be ideal for those who live near the beach. If you would frequently use the Sand Helper it could potentially end up paying for itself. The cost is not cheap. The Sandhelper is made from heavy-duty parts in order to ensure it reliably moves through the sand. It must have big motors to turn the big tires that help prevent the Sand Helper from getting stuck. It must also put up with elements such as salt, water, and the scorching sun. So stainless steel had to be used. In short, there is no shortage of high-quality parts.
Standard Features of the Sandhelper
The Sandhelper comes with huge tires. They measure 21" (Diameter). This is nearly 2 feet tall. However, these large tires are what allow the Sand Helper to effortlessly move throughout the sand. Smaller tires would not have as much surface area contact so would be more prone to losing traction.
The Sandhelper rims look fantastic. They are very high quality and appear automotive quality. This helps the Sand Helper look really good when you are using it. It has a simple design that is extremely effective.
The Sandhelper comes with two lithium-ion batteries that weigh 12lbs each. The Sand Helper only uses one battery at a time so if you charge both batteries prior to your outing and a battery runs out, you can utilize the secondary battery. Each battery should get you around 8 miles of travel range. Lithium-Ion is lightweight when compared to traditional lead-acid batteries.
Worried about top speed on such a large unit? You can reach up to 4MPH which is a fast walking pace. The Sand Helper is large so faster speeds would be uncomfortable. In fact, some prefer to go slower then 4MPH so you will enjoy a speed knob so you can detune the power chair to go slower.

1-year warranty on the steel frame only. NOTE This machine is not salt water-friendly, if you get it wet with saltwater, it will cause corrosion and rust which will lead to a mechanical issue.Â
