Did you know one of the hottest selling folding mobility scooters at Mobility Scooters Direct is the Luggie? This is because of the ease of transportation, high-quality build, long battery life, and fair price. The users of this 3 wheel mobility scooter have nothing but fantastic things to say about it. The specifications are almost to good to be true for a folding mobility scooter that is a 4 wheel mobility scooter.
The Luggie Elite Plus 4 Mobility Scooter is designed like a 3 wheel mobility scooter but technically has 4 wheels. By looking at the picture you will see that the front two wheels are extremely close together which gives it the turning radius found with most 3 wheel scooters. This is a very innovative design that will give the Luggie Elite Plus 3 Mobility Scooter more stability than a traditional 3 wheel scooter without the downside of a poor turning radius.
Standard Features of the Luggie Elite Plus 4 Mobility Scooter
The staff at Mobility Scooters Direct is often asked, what makes the Luggie Elite Plus 3 folding scooter different than the original Luggie? Simply put, the specifications. The Elite Plus 4 handicap scooter has a faster top speed, it has a longer travel range, and larger weight capacity. The top speed is now 5 MPH which is quite quick for a folding mobility scooter. However, it really shines with the longer travel range which now clocks in at a whopping 25 miles. That is longer than some heavy duty mobility scooters that weight 4x as much! The total weight capacity has been increased to 360lbs on this Luggie Elite Plus 4. You might be thinking with all these upgrades, surely the motor has to be bigger, the batteries have to be bigger, and there must be reinforcements to handle the extra weight. That equates to a higher weight of the product, right? Wrong! All of these upgrades miraculously has not increased the total weight of this folding scooter.
Due to the overall weight not increasing, the Luggie Elite Plus 3 handicap scooter easily folds and can be put in nearly all trunks. So if you frequently go around town and need the assistance of your mobility scooter, the Luggie Elite Plus 4 should be strongly considered. Many users also bring the Luggie Elite Plus 4 with them on vacations because it is both TSA & FDA approved. That means whether you are going on an airplane or on a cruise ship, you can bring your Luggie Elite Plus with confidence. With the upgraded total travel range, you can surely explore the entire cruise ship without having to worry about running out of battery! When you get back to your room, you can fold it up to make the most amount of the cabin. Lastly, you'll enjoy the newly designed handlebars which have been extended to aide the user and make ease of use more favorable.
A universal charger comes with each Luggie Elite Plus 4. You will enjoy FREE curbside delivery, a FREE cup holder, a FREE side arm bag, and a FREE weatherproof cover. Stopping distance – a carrier and cargo add weight to the vehicle and lengthens the time and distance that it takes to stop. Be sure to review the guidelines provided by your automobile manufacturer’s manual and adjusts your riding accordingly, allowing extra time and distance for slowing and stopping.
Passing – due to the extra weight of the carrier and cargo, be sure to allow extra time and space for passing. The combination of carrier and cargo extend the length of your vehicle and should be considered when merging and passing.
Tire Maintenance – be sure tires are inflated to the proper psi. Consult your automobile manufacturer’s operations manual for recommendations.
Check your hardware – make sure all hardware is tightened and secure prior to beginning any trip.
Alterations – changing, adding to, or removing parts of a carrier may adversely affect the handling of the product and is strongly not advised.
