Amigo Mobility is an All American company brands that makes Mobility products. They are known for the Shabbat model that is certified by Zomet to take to Temple. We highly recommend consulting with our product experts before placing your order. Make sure to charge your batteries daily for the first 2 weeks during the break-in period. The Amigo RT Express is an excellent 3-Wheel Mobility Scooter designed by a reputable manufacturer. Amigo is one of the few manufacturers that actually manufactures all of its scooters in the USA. Whether you're looking for a scooter that can be used indoors or outdoors, the RT is a great model designed to provide many years of hassle-free use. The RT scooter is capable of holding up to 250 lbs with a comfortable 18" wide, 360-degree seat. The Amigo RT comes with an excellent manufacturer warranty and is backed by an excellent customer service team. The Amigo RT Express is stable, affordable, and reliable.

 

Going 5 mph and lasting as long as 22 miles before each full charge The Amigo RT Express is definitely an excellent choice for smooth operation turning at a radius of 33" on flat free 6" front and 9" Trimline tires. This Amigo scooter is eligible for a Shabbat-Mode upgrade that uses a toggle switch to change from normal operation to Shabbat mode. With no throttle lever activation by the rider, the module's timing circuit sets the chair in motion after 7-11 seconds, satisfying the "no work" Sabbath restriction. Each Shabbat Amigo is halachically-approved, individually inspected, and certified by a Zomet representative. You will not want to pass one of the Shabbat Mobility scooters that we offer! Amigo Mobility Warranty

General Warranty Provisions

Amigo Mobility International, Inc. (AMI) warranties the original, completed Amigo it manufactures only to the original owner. If
warranty card or proof of purchase is not received, warranty begins on the date the Amigo was shipped. This warranty supersedes
and is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, and no person, agent, or dealer is authorized to give any warranties on
behalf of AMI, nor to assume for AMI any other liability concerning any of its products unless made in writing and signed by an official
of AMI. This warranty gives you specific rights, with the possibility of other rights, which vary depending upon your locality. The
warranties on this page do not cover the failure of any part or accessory due to:

-Shipping damage
-Abuse, misuse, accidental damage, or acts of nature
-Exceeding the specified weight capacity of the model
-Improper installation or opening sealed components
-Modifying the Amigo or installing accessories not authorized by AMI

Warranty Coverage

AMI will repair or replace a part that is defective in material or workmanship under normal use. AMI may use factory-recertified parts
(rather than new parts) for some warranty repairs. Warranty replacement parts are covered for the remainder of the Amigo unit
warranty. AMI covers labor warranty at factory headquarters in Bridgeport, MI for the first 60 days of ownership. Freight charges are
not included under the labor warranty.

-Structural components – platform, frame and lower seat post (non PSL) have a limited lifetime warranty (seven years).
-Main components – controller, charger, motor, powered seat lift (PSL) and transaxle have a two-year warranty.
-Seats and other components have a one-year warranty (cuts and tears in seats are not covered by warranty).
-Batteries supplied by AMI are warranted for one year (freight not included after six months) and carry Amigo brand labels.
-Damage caused by battery moisture, spillage, or leakage is exclusive of warranty. Lithium-ion batteries carry the following
warranty:

The warranty period is 60 months; beginning when the Amigo healthcare model or batteries are shipped from AMI factory.
A serial number of unit/date code on the battery will be required.


• Warranty covers defects in workmanship and material.
• Failure constitutes a fully recharged battery with less than 50% of its rated capacity under normal operating/charging
conditions and is covered within the 60 month period.
• Lithium-ion batteries must be returned to AMI. Upon receipt, batteries will be tested to confirm warranty conditions are
met.
• First 36 months’ replacement batteries will be lithium-ion; 37 months and older may receive sealed lead-acid batteries.

- AMI is obligated to repair or replace products/parts returned by the purchaser and found to be defective under warranty at our
factory in Bridgeport, Michigan.
- If the inspection determines that a returned part or unit is fully functional or inoperable due to a non-warranty nature, it will be
returned at expense of the owner.
- Parts purchased separately from the original unit, or rebuilt units, carry a one year warranty against defects in material and
workmanship

Customer Satisfaction

Complete satisfaction with your Amigo is our main goal. If you are not satisfied with any maintenance or repair work completed by a
local Amigo dealership, please follow these two steps:

1. Review your concerns with the dealership’s management (service manager or general manager). In most cases, a satisfactory
solution is found.


2. Occasionally, an Amigo owner will not be fully satisfied with a dealer’s decision or actions. In that case, contact Amigo customer
service at (800) 248-9131. Having the following information available will expedite response time:


- Serial number of your Amigo (see page 13 of the user manual for the location of the serial number).
- Name, city, and state of the dealer who sold you the Amigo.
- Date and reason for each visit to the dealership

YOU SHOULD ALWAYS SPEAK WITH ONE OF OUR MOBILITY PRODUCT EXPERTS BEFORE ORDERING TO VERIFY YOUR ORDER DETAILS.


IF YOU WANT TO RETURN A PRODUCT BECAUSE YOU ORDERED THE WRONG PRODUCT, YOU WILL BE SUBJECT TO A 20% RESTOCKING FEE AND YOU WILL NEED TO PAY FOR RETURN SHIPPING. 


MOST PRODUCTS ARE SHIPPED ON A FREIGHT LINER (18-WHEELER). IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT 18-WHEELER TRUCKS CAN REACH YOUR SHIPPING DESTINATION. OTHERWISE, YOU MAY NEED TO MEET THE DRIVER SOMEWHERE THAT IS ACCESSIBLE BY AN 18-WHEELER TRUCK. FAILURE TO ACCEPT DELIVERY WILL RESULT IN RESTOCKING AND RETURN SHIPPING FEES.

NOTE: The batteries that you receive with your powered mobility device may vary in capacity rating (amp-hour). The battery specifications that you see on our website for the AH rating are not always what you will receive. Depending on inventory, you may receive batteries that are slightly higher or lower in capacity. Manufacturers use the group size specification when shipping batteries, not the AH rating. The slight variance in AH rating will not impact that overall travel range significantly.

Summary of Return Policy:

Mobility Direct offers a 30-day return policy which means that when you receive your product, you have 30 days to ensure it's working as intended. If the product is defective or not working, we will either work with the manufacturer to ensure the unit is fixed (if possible) or we can have the product returned at no cost to you in most cases. If a product arrives defective, we will act in a timely manner to get the product fixed by a local technician. If that is not possible, we will offer to have the product exchanged or returned for a complete refund.


If your product is working fine without any defects or damage, you may still return the unit within that 30-day return period but you will be required to: 


1. Request a return authorization (RMA) from our customer service department. 


2. Repackage the product in the original packaging.


3. Ship the product back to one of our receiving locations. 


Once we receive the product and inspect it for damage you will be refunded the amount of the product minus a restocking fee of up to 20%. If the product is damaged, the costs to replace parts and repair the unit will also be deducted from the total refund amount. 

How to Handle Your Product Delivery


Please follow the steps below BEFORE SIGNING for and ACCEPTING Delivery:


NO VISIBLE DAMAGE:

If there are NO visible holes, rips, dents, or tears to any of the packaging, then please sign and accept your delivery without making exceptions.


VISIBLE DAMAGE:

If there are visible holes, rips, dents, or tears to any of the packaging, please note the extent of the damage in the exceptions area of the delivery slip, and accept your delivery. Contact our customer service department at (877) 460-1646 if the product is found to be damaged after unpacking. Please note the delivery driver is NOT obligated to wait for you to unpack the scooter to inspect before you accept the delivery.


EXTREME DAMAGE:

If there IS an extreme amount of obvious damage to the packaging of your scooter, please refuse the delivery as “Damaged in Transit”, then both you and the Delivery Driver must sign the BOL. Immediately notify our customer service department at (877) 460-1646 if a shipment is refused due to extreme damage.


CONCEALED DAMAGE:

If there was NO visible damage to the packaging, but the product is damaged, immediately call our customer service department at(877) 460-1646 to report the damage. Concealed damage claims are limited to 72 hours after delivery in order for us to file a damage claim and provide you with the fastest solution.

It is important you know that our manufacturing partners are putting each product through a 35-point inspection two separate times before shipping. Although the package may not appear damaged, this does not mean it was not mishandled during transit.
